I used to live near a store that used to sell herbal drinks, fruit drinks and many other flavors. sarsaparilla was one of them and these sweets tasted just like the drink.

I just love sarsparilla, takes me back to my young days (50+ years ago) of going to Brick Lane in the East End of London with my dad on a freezing cold Sunday morning and buying a steaming hot glass of sarsparilla from the stall - good for sucking sitting on the underground as they last for ages
